The Two Playlists

The corpus consists of 114 tracks drawn from two Spotify playlists, each anchoring one end of the Phonk spectrum. Playlists were exported using Exportify and enriched with Spotify’s audio features via the API. The Brazilian Phonk playlist represents the high-energy, rave-ready end of the spectrum, while Russian Drift Phonk captures the darker, cinematic subgenre that went viral through car-culture communities online.
